About
Portland Farmers Market on Portland State University's campus is open year-round! Operating hours are 8:30 am (Mar - Oct) or 9:00 am (Nov - Feb) to 2:00 pm. Our year-round flagship farmers market, under the canopy of giant elm trees on the campus of Portland State University (PSU), welcomes up to 10,000 shoppers on a summer Saturday. Portland-area residents and chefs, along with visitors from around the world, flock to the market to browse as many as 100 vendor stalls. It’s the “must do” Saturday Portland experience.

We found this enjoyable. Fresh fruit (wonderful cherries), flowers, sauces, soaps… hundreds of stalls with items made with TLC. Hot food too to grab a bite and listen to music. Worth checking out.

This is one of the best farmers' market I've ever been to. Lots of variety and vendors and live music in a great location. Highly recommend if you're in Portland.

Prepared foods. Baked goods. Beautiful fruits and vegetables. Honey. Smoked fish. Coffee. Dried beans. Do you need anything more? If you do, this market probably has it, and then some. This is the Saturday morning market, and the locals come out in force to shop here, as should you. As tourists, we couldn't buy as much as we would have liked to, but we still found an excellent Jewish rye, some great peanut butter from Gee Creek, beautifully flavored peaches, and excellent salmon from The Smokery (there's a reason that the Old Irish smoked salmon is their most popular variety). Great fun to browse for a couple of hours.

We stumbled across this market when out for a walk, exploring the neighborhoods around our hotel. They were close to closing when we arrived, so while most vendors were still selling everything they had, there were a few booths starting to pack up for the day.

It's unfortunate that we visited on our last full day in the city. I would've loved to have been able to pick up some of the snacks or vegetables that were on sale. It's even more unfortunate that we'd already eaten lunch that day, as there were quite a few food stalls that were calling our names as we passed by.

I loved the variety of items on sale - from the fresh produce and handmade snacks to the crafty gift items and everything in between - this market had everything I'd expect from a good farmers market.

They were requiring visitors to be masked when were there (November of 2021), which everyone adhered to, thankfully. The market is fully outdoors, but you can't ever be too careful, right?

Loved this market! We were here for the weekend, so had coffee and breakfast while walking through the market. The produce and flowers are amazing! This is what you hope your hometown market would be! It is in a beautiful park and makes for a lovely Saturday morning activity.

i love this farmers market because they have everything here. i always get the organic produce here because they are so fresh i can taste the difference. sometimes I get the mint leaves here too when they have them. i wish i could find more herbs here, like thyme and chives and tarragon, etc. we also like getting the fresh bread here too, very tasty.

I love this Farmers Market! If I lived in Portland, I would come here every Saturday to buy my veggies, fruits and more. There are so many vendors, music, and eats for all to enjoy. The location is easy to get to if you walk or take the light rail. Come with money and an empty stomach. You will leave with less money but a full belly. Happy eating!

I was in Portland last year and "discovered" the amazing Saturday farmers market at PSU. Well I was in Portland again and made sure to have time to take my wife and introduce her to this market and she enjoyed it as much as I did. Fresh fruits (strawberries and blueberries were in season), vegetables, mushrooms, herbs, cheeses, organic meats, breads and baked goods, healthy and unhealthy snacks, prepared soups, all sorts of food to eat if you get hungry from Middle Eastern, African, Mexican, crepes, Asian, burgers and much more. Venders offer lots of free samples and it is a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning on the tree lined PSU campus, eating, shopping and people watching.

Honestly this is the best farmer's market I have ever visited! Great prepared food options, beautiful fresh produce, meats, fish, honey, jams, flowers, and lots of free samples. Prices are also very reasonable. If you are in town on a Saturday make a point to visit. I was visiting from the East coast and I was SO impressed. You'll love it!
