Great hiking trails for all levels. Don't miss it. High Desert rock formations along the Crooked River are mesmerizing. Walk along the river for miles or test your endurance on the Misery trail. Great day.

Do not pass this up. A must see nature place. Very interesting and relaxing at the same time in the wide open spaces.

Absolutely mesmerizing views and rock formations here. We hiked the Misery Trail which is not easy but very rewarding. There are other trails and we will definitely return. One note: it was quite crowded on the weekend and is extremely sunny and hot in the summer.

Misery Ridge is the best hike Mid-Spring-Early Summer is my favorite time to hike that trail! Pack lots of water if you do this hike.

Superb scenery and hiking. This is one of Oregon's best parks and that's saying something. A must see for anyone and a mecca for rock climbers

Miles and miles of hiking trails, some really hard to do others are a medium hike. Beautiful views, of the rocks and the river. A great place for Rock Climbing. Just a beautiful place.

Wow! The sun came out and Smith Rock was in sharp relief as we climbed down and across the river, and then up, up, up. Moderate difficulty, but a total pleasure to visit. You can watch some climbers going up and down the sheer faces. Very cool spot.

We moved to Central Oregon and one of our favorite places to visit is Smith Rock State Park! The Rock formations and the Crooked River that winds through the park are beautiful. There are plenty of trails from beginner to expert and watching the rock climbers is a great form of entertainment!

I've been climbing around this state park for over 23 years and it never ceases to amaze me with it's beauty. Not a rock climber I've hiked around it and my kids have grown up hiking it since they were 6-7 years old. You can go right after the river and hike up misery ridge or go left of the... More
