I participated in a 50 k at the park. I can not describe the beauty of the park. The trails are well maintained. There are some incredible views of mountains, valley, river. If you love hiking (or running) there are miles of trails. You can...More

Outstanding opportunities for photos, great and challenging trails, well maintained, friendly hosts. Early Spring there is a Bald Eagles nest that is an easy photo op. Interesting to watch the development of the chicks through the spring and early summer.

Smith Rock State Park is truly beautiful. Amazing, jagged buttes pushing up into the sky off the Crooked River. It's a great place for a relaxing walk along the river, or something more ambitious like a hike over Misery Ridge Trail. I did the latter,...More

Even if you are not a rock climber (I’m not) this is a beautiful spot to hike, admire the rock formations (and the amazing people climbing them). Really inspiring especially when the setting sun lights up the rocks against a blue sky). Apparently October is...More

We were running out of daylight so we just did a drive by. From what we could see-it looks quite unique. Will be going back to explore.

We loved this hike- great views the entire time. It was the best of all landscapes... you're in the desert, then by the river....the beauty of Oregon just awed me.This is a great park!

There's only one car entrance and it's a short loop around so you can see most of what there is from the car before you decide to park
