I really cannot understand the negative comments here. This is a stretch of land where elks live. Some days they will be close to the road, some days not. The facilities are excellent and the binoculars free. Try going to Buckingham Palace and complaining you...More

Along Highway 38, just east of Reedsport. Elk can be seen year round and easily photographed from the viewing area or from several of the wide pull offs along the highway. Remember, these are wild animals and can be dangerous if you get to close.

Saw 100 elk in mountain flats amazing. They were just grazing 100 yards away seemed comfortable with humans being near a great experience.

Got a few good pictures of some bull elk. There was a large group of females and little ones. Plenty of parking with pit potties.

I saw more elk jere in one location then I have in my entire life. They get pretty close to the road and there are little birds that sit on their behinds. It's so cute!
