This is the best spot of the 3 Capes Scenic Loop that you have to take if you are new to the area or just sight seeing. A beautiful lighthouse with a small gift shop within a park. Also in the park is the Octopus Tree that is also a must see. The entire loop drive can be done in... More

This is a nice area to visit but lighthouse was closed for season. Good view of ocean but a bit of a walk. Octopus tree is neat too,but a bit of a walk in the other direction.

A bit off the "beaten path" but well worth the trip. Gorgeous views, easy paved trails, some unpaved hiking trails nearby as well. You might even see migrating gray whales and there are always loads of birds for the birdwatchers. Catch the big trees, geocache, picnic, enjoy this favorite of locals and visitors from afar.

We have stopped here many times over the last 20 years. Approach from the south, since the northern entrance is closed due to slides. Be prepared for lots of wind and a steep incline getting to the lighthouse. If you are a senior, you might want to hold onto someone else going down and be prepared for a slow trip... More

Easy hike down and up to amazing views. Worth a stop - about 30-45 minutes. Kids will like the coin op binoculars.

A bit out of the way for easy visits but is worth the view as it is on top of the Cape. Well outside of town, the drive is nice but sometimes the road needs maintenance. The view of the ocean are wonderful and the grounds around the lighthouse are well maintained.

It has a nice view of the coast (like many of the scenic overlooks). The lighthouse is closed in the winter. It's cute but nothing impressive. There's a very short trail to octopus tree which is interesting.

Beautiful Lighthouse and scenic overviews of the coast. Definitely recommend driving to see it if you are in the area. Do not forget to take the short hike to see the Octopus Tree!

We went there in December, when the winds hit the coast pretty harshly. But, it was a sunny day, the top of the Lighthouse beacons you to get close and touch it (the building sits lower than the path, so it feel like you will end up on top of the tower), and the walk to the Lighthouse was fun,... We were here in summer. Nice place to visit especially the top of the lighthouse. Lots of history and talking about view of the Pacific ocean, this one is just amazing! I love the area, its hidden and well preserved area. However, this place can be windy at times. I recommend to visit the lighthouse in summer or early fall.... More
