The ride by the Columbia river should not be missed under any circumstances. It’s just breathtaking and pretty. Lots of beautiful things to see. If the Sun is out, it’s makes it the best for pictures.

This drive travels along the Columbia River, past numerous waterfalls and trail heads. This is a federally protected drive for all the right reasons.

We loved to start in Corbet, stop at the Women's Forum overlook and the Gorge with Vista House in sight. Hopefully the area will come back as quickly as possible like the area around Mount St. Helen's did.

The scenic highway is a very nice way to see some sights. Go slow and watch for cyclists. And be ready to deal with lots of traffic.

It was a nice, scenic drive. There are various roads the branch off and stops along the way to see the river and even views of Mt. Hood.

Buying food in Portland before you get into the Gorge would be a good idea as there are not that many places on the scenic highway. I would not recommend the Tippy canoe, but check it out for yourself, overpriced and not... More
