How awesome to touch a piece of history. You can still see some of the wood attached to the steel hull. During low tide you can actually climb on this historic wreck. Plus, there are sand dollars on the beach and bald eagles flying above. Wow!

We stopped for a short and sweet look - it was so cold and rainy! Pretty amazing shipwreck (what's left of it)

The bones of this ship are pretty photogenic. It's a beautiful beach to watch the sunset behind a cool structure.

Shipwreck is no more than a few rusted beams. But the beach is pleasant enough, sand is pretty soft but I'd rather go to Cannon Beach, it's much prettier.

I have been to this place many times having grown up near here. I visited again recently and brought my wife and kids. The beach around it is awesome like much of the Oregon Coast. Easy access to the site via two nearby parking lots. It can be a challenge for some as from the parking lot you do have... More

Fort Stevens SP, wonderful! Nicely spaced sites, good roads and plenty of activities. Loved the beach, the fort area and the areas overlooking the river and ocean.
