If you have an opportunity, this is one Great Highway to travel. Not quite as fast, but peaceful and relaxing. Wish I could spend more time on the Lincoln Highway. Lots of Posted Points of Interest and great Photo ops.

Just a great place to take a drive through one of the more historic areas of the country. As a kid I was a passenger on this road many times but had no idea what I was seeing. Well worth the time.

After many years of traveling on the PA Turnpike, we decided to take the road less traveled -- Route 30, the historic Lincoln Highway -- on our getaway weekend. It's an interesting ride If you're not in too big a hurry to appreciate this step...More

Take the time to make this drive through the Bedford, PA, area. There are lots of interesting buildings and sites and the road in good shape and wasn't crowded. This is a good activity on a cold, winter day. Lots of beautiful views of the...More

Nothing better than driving from Pgh through Ligonier on the way to Bedford! Great summits, interesting road-side and historic sites. Two lane highway - only bad feature is if you're behind a truck in the no-passing area.

On planning our Pennsylvania vacation we were unaware of the history we would find on Lincoln Highway--in fact, we weren't even aware of the highway until we got there. It is like traveling back in time. Riding the highway through Gettysburg was fantastic and then...More

There were a number of antique shops we encountered while driving the Lincoln Highway between Irwin and Bedford. I searched online ahead of time and had a list with addresses, as a few were just off Rt. 30.
