Nice small Pa.State Park with lake for boating, fishing, and swimming. Campground with primitive and electric sites. Pets allowed in all lower loop of campground. Modern bathhouse with showers. Trails for hiking, old rail grade for biking. Cabins, yurts, and pavilions available to reserve as well as the campsites. A great park to relax and kick back.

We arrived late and left early due to time constraints, but the park seemed like it had plenty to offer. The walk-in site we chose (75) was spacious, but lacked significant tree cover. I think that if we return again, we would probably select site 77, which is just opposite site 75. It had better overall tree cover, and was... More

This enchanting and beautiful park was a complete surprise and delight for our camping getaway in the woods. Close enough to home yet far enough away from any cities, we loved the drive to the park and were totally charmed by the picturesque grounds once we arrived. The campsites were all very well maintained and laid out very nicely. We... More

This park has nice accommodations for camping, although the campsites are quite small. The bathrooms are fairly new and nice. Many water faucets are spread throughout the camping area, so you are never far from one. One camping loop allows dogs, the other does not. There are a good number of trails for hiking. The beach is decent sized; water... More

We visited on a Canadian long weekend, when every campground in Ontario and most in New York were booked. Chapman still had a bunch of sites available, so we gave it a try. No regrets! The park is clean, love that the roads and site pads are paved, washroom buildings are probably the best we've seen yet. Lots of space... More

We stayed here in our fifth wheel. We had sites 15 & 17. They were kind of together. There was a path to the water behind 15 so we carried our kayaks through the woods & left them at the water for the weekend. Very convenient. There's a couple nice playgrounds that the little ones enjoyed. We spent one day... More

Camping the way it should be. Chapman State Park is a gem, quiet beautiful beach, lots of hiking and fishing. A sky so full of stars my daughter asked why they don't look like this at home. The beach is clean the sites are decent size even for our large trailer. I'm not sure I would bring anything in over... More

We Pennsylvanians should be so grateful to have our free state parks - certainly in many states, the entrance is not free. The lake is pretty here, the trails are nice for hiking, biking, and xx skiing, the winter festival is a lot of fun. Swimming is pleasant. It's a beautiful place for a picnic.
