It was our first ride with our new hybrid bikes. The trail had families biking, walkers, runners, even people on horses but the trail is wide enough for this not to be an issue. We actually rode further on to the Lebanon Valley Trail part. We started on Route 230 and rode about 1.5 miles past The Kiss ice cream... More

This trail is pleasant for kids, and popular with cyclists. The beginning point for us was Route 743. Parking along this road is a bit sketchy, because cars speed past. The trail itself is well-maintained and consists of finely crushed gravel, which is great for jogging, walking, and hybrid/mountain biking. As the spring where is on into summer, the trail... More

The trail is a converted railroad bed covered with crushed limestone. Wide enough for two-way traffic. Dogs are welcome. No bathrooms or porta potties except for the Lawn playground and Twin Kiss entrance otherwise I would give a 5 star rating.

Connecting Elizabethtown and Mount Gretna with a well maintained path enjoy the country scenery. Fox and deer are occasionally spotted along the way. Parking is easy. You won't regret a bike ride on this trail. More for walking than hiking.

Whether you are going for a leisurely walk, a fitness run, or nice bike ride, the Conewago Recreation Trail is the place for you. It is mostly flat, being an old rail bed, and is covered with compacted, crushed stone. If you forget your fitness tracker, there are distance markers every half mile starting from the Rt 230 access point.... More

My boyfriend and I went on the trail for an all day bike ride. We biked the entire 14 mile trail back and forth and it was exhausting but absolutely worth it. Such a beautiful scenery you get to enjoy as you travel many towns. Definitely a recommendation for anyone who loves the outdoors.

21.75 miles if you count access to the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail. Sufficient parking. Most of it is road-bike worthy but use your trail bike.

I love to go running on the Conewago Trail. It is well maintained and clean. The paths are wide and mostly flat. It even has mile markers to help you keep track as you go. Also seems to be very popular for biking!

The Conewago is an old railroad right-of-way so it is very level with no steep climbs required. There is a nice pond at the Western end (PA-230) that can be hiked around in about 15 minutes. There are turtles to see, flowers and birds. Be sharp eyed! The trail is in segments that are long enough to be fun and... More
