This is an excellent museum for anyone interested in American History. Not only does the museum have excellent and informative displays, but the museum is housed in an industrial building that is extremely interesting in itself. We were fortunate that the flagship Niagara was in port the day we visited and that made the entire visit all the more worthwhile.... More

Went thru the museum to get to the rest of the tall ships, but very nice and informative. Large replicas of parts of ships.

This museum was the highlight of our recent visit to Erie. The story of the war of 1812 was the most interesting part for me - including a replica of the Brig Niagara, which is outside the building. There is a good bookstore/gift shop included in the museum.

We stopped here on a bus trip. I wish we had more time! The guides were extremely knowable and friendly. Lots of history.

I toured the museum during the Tall Ships Festival! The museum was quite busy. Reviewed the indoor exhibits; as well as toured two tall ships that were dock at back of museum. This was the highlight of the visit!

Our VIP pass for the Tall Ship Festival included a visit to the museum. We were very glad that we were able to walk through it on the way to the ships. It was very interesting and impressive as to the size of the exhibits. Wish we would have had more time to thoroughly explore.

Knew little about the War of 1812 and Commodore Perry before visiting here. Spent a lot of time looking at all the displays and reading about the history. Well worth visiting

We came to this museum at the time the tall ships were here. All were able to all the tall ships except one, the Galeon. They didn't allow anyone in the line up because the line was so long that they want everyone to leave by 6PM, so we missed seeing the Galeon. I didn't think there was much to... More
