If you like zoos, you will love this walking zoo.. not huge, but big enough! Gardens, flowers, greenery are beautiful and well- kept! The animals are well- taken care of...giraffes, camels, bears, zebras, lions, otters, penguins.....orangutans, gorillas! Plus much more. Monkey island, black swans....bring a lunch to share, or buy lunch at one of the concession stands. You will also... More

I grew up in Erie, PA and now that I don't live there anymore, I realize I took this great little zoo for granted! While the zoo itself isn't nearly as big as others, it offers quite a lot. Many different kinds of animals, a petting zoo area, and over the years, they are always adding and renovating areas, making... More

We spent about four hours wandering the zoo with a couple of very young toddlers. While we enjoyed the animals, they did not. They did enjoy walking the paved paths, and playing in the lily pond and water pumps. We had to lift them to see the animals in a few places but they did have a nice petting zoo... More

Having been to the zoos in Chicago, Pittsburgh and Jacksonville, FL I was used to large zoos with big variety. While this one doesn't have as big a variety of animals, I actually like it better. Nestled in a wooded area, it's peaceful, less chaotic. There are still plenty for small children to see and do, and parents can have... More

I visited the zoo with my two year old, and we had a wonderful time. This is a very small zoo, but it's the perfect size for small kids. My child was captivated by how close we were to the animals, and we spent hours going around all of the exhibits. Parking is free, and the prices for snacks inside... More

What a great day. My kids love seeing all the different animals. Afterwards we headed off for a bite to eat U Wanna Pizza and a pie at 2430 West 8th street. Nice Hot and Fresh Pizza, Antipasto Salad, and brownie cheesecake for dessert. I can't wait to do it again.

The Erie Zoo can not be beat. The animal exhibits...the grounds...a new children's treehouse that's being constructed...there really IS something for everyone at the Erie Zoo. Free parking and a visit that is truly worth the cost of admission.

Much better than years ago. They have improved it greatly and have put some time and money into the animals.

Great zoo, lots of active animals - there were even lots of baby animals when we visited. Lots to do for all age groups, nice maintained grounds. Great attraction for the family!
