What a fantastic family friendly historic mill to take the family to. Our girls, who are nine, loved the lesson on archaeology. In addition the volunteers/ employees clearly love what they do and have a passion educating others. He buildings and grounds are beautiful and the trail very easy to walk.

Beautiful walking trails, ponds, and picnic areas at no cost. Trout fishing in a pond at a small price. Also, the tour of the historic working mill is very worth while.

You can go back in time visiting Newlin grist mill. Take the tour, very interesting and fun. Walk along the creek paths, cross rock bridges and enjoy the nature. A bit noisy in parts being off of Rt. 1 but still an enjoyable day.

The park has very nice walking trails along the brook and there are benches around for a 'sit down' (if needed). There are plenty of trees, so you can visit in the heat of the day in the summer. There are also picnic tables available and a bathroom near the visitor center. A very pleasant place to take a stroll.... More

Stopped. y this little gem after having driven by earlier in the week. Very old historic site and interesting to see a place over 300 years old. Those who are Irish might appreciate the story here as well. Mill, trout pond for fishing, walking trails, shady areas to sit and think. Right off a busy highway but still feels quiet... More

I get around to all the walking/hiking spots in the area. The Newlin Grist Mill is great for families or a solitary hike. If its your first time here, take the Mill and buildings tour. View the hand dug canals and think of how all this was constructed decades before the Revolution. Most people "mill" about the building complex, but... More
