This is a great museum that I've been to many times. I love their natural history collection but they also have great history exhibits too.

A really nice place to spend a few hours. This is a good place to take the kids when the weather is not nice.

It's the State Museum and I honestly had low expectations but it was much more interesting and informative than I expected. Plenty to see. I just hate paying to park in Harrisburg.

We went there thinking it would be a history of Pennsylvania, but it’s not entirely about Pa. There is information about the ages of the earth, a planetarium (presentations are geared towards young children), along with information about Pennsylvania itself. Total time to really enjoy...More

One of the better state museums out there. We were planning on about 90 minutes for this stop and ended up spending over 3 hours taking it all in. The top floor (natural history) is well laid out and flows quite intuitively. The second floor...More

No trip to Harrisburg would be complete without spending some time at the Capitol Building and at the State Museum. The staff at the State Museum was so friendly and welcoming...which alone made it worth spending time therein. Go for the science...go for the history...go...More

I was just there this weekend and it is now $7 for adults, which is a minimal fee given all the incredible exhibits.
