We stopped in for a quick visit on Sunday before touring the Capitol building. Beautiful inside and out. The green dome is delightful. Well worth checking out if in downtown Harrisburg.

The church is absolutely beautiful. I love church architecture and this is amazing in my book! I would recommend a visit if you are in the area.

The Capitol Building contrasts nicely with the Cathedral Dome. With some amusement State Street and Church Street intersect, so Church and State do meet in the State of Pennsylvania. Worth a visit.

After visiting the state Capitol building I saw this site on Tripadviser. It's a beautiful church on historic State Street just down the block. It's free and only takes 15-20 minutes to view this beautiful church. Take a few shots then perhaps walk down the street to Amp Coffee Shop for a cup of joe.

In one word: BEAUTIFUL. Take your camera and if there is no celebration of the Mass during your visit, take several photos. During this Year of... More

A breathtaking place of worship. A true "gem" to celebrate a special occasion in prayer or to attend regular Mass.

Hard to photograph in its entirety from the outside, but what you can get is beautiful. Since it is just down the street from the Capitol building and the Methodist church, it makes a good photo looking up at the Capitol. I just opened the front door on a Tuesday afternoon and went in. Door was unlocked and nobody in... More

I visited this church with a friend before taking a tour of the State Capital on a Sunday afternoon. A mass was about to start so we came back after the capital tour. The Bishop was there greeting people after the service. I asked one of the priests if it would be OK to look around the church. He was... More
