We visited on our own and pretty much had it to ourselves. There's not a lot to see, but it's impressive that there after still some walls and a stupa standing. The landscape is very barren, which must have made for tough living.

I learned the history of the temple site as a "women kingdom", but there is no local
guide at the site. So we just walked around the area, with only minimal explanation, so we didn't enjoy much. I am sure it will be very interesting...More
Always good to visit this place afternoon to prevent yourself from the sun and also sunblock to protect your skin from sun burn. Take enough water to drink and this place is good to meditate and enjoy the peace to calming down your tired nerve....More

Subashi is a short (half day at most) trip from Kuqa.
The ruins are interesting and made more special by the fantastic mountain backdrop. When we were there we saw only a handful of other people.
