We hiked the Pennine Way and took a detour through the Hardcastle Crags. It was beautiful and worth the trip.

We didn't have time to explore the crags as much as we would have liked, we could have easily spent a whole day here I'm sure exploring the various different routes. The main path is well surfaced so even after a spell of wet weather...More

I have run, walked with friends and my dogs here for years. It never looses its appeal in ALL seasons. River, waterfalls, mill pond, stepping stones, bridges, woodland, national trust cafe with really tasty food and drinks and toilets with a womery. What more do...More

We walked here from Hebden Bridge - easily done - takes about 40 minutes to get to the car park then another 30 mins or so to the Craggs and Gibson Mill. Recommend the riverside return with stepping stones The cafe is a little disappointing...More

Definitely would describe this as a 'mixed weather' walk but was blown away by how beautiful this was. It's quite a long walk if you walk here from the rail station in Hebden as I did, but it's gorgeous woodland and if you go to...More

Visited today what a fantastic place for dog walking and young children to run around. Would not advise anyone to go on a wet or wintery day. A bit difficult to get to with cars parked on the only road into the area but people...More

A strange title for a review but good knowledge if you don't want to do the same as me. I arrived at the carpark and found a car park ticket machine charging a £5 flat fee. I don't mind paying this for NT but there...More

High above Hebden Bridge lies this NT property. Parking is confusing because the small car park you come to first is usually full. Go further on, there is more parking. A pleasant walk through woodland with stream, brings you to Gibson's Mill. See separate review.

Took the train up to Hebden Bridge from Manchester as I wanted to get out of the city for the day. This walk is so peaceful and the area is amazingly kept. I would totally recommend for anyone wanting some timeout.

We've been here a couple of times, our dog absolutely loves it! There's a couple of different paths to choose from, one is flatter while the other is closer to the river. Always plenty of families and dogs about, including in the water itself, which...More

If you stick to the road its fine but for offroad paths a papoose or backpack. If its one of those small old school McLaren type buggies you might get away with carrying. Hope this is of use. The road route goes through the... More
