Fantastic walks through the woodland and farm land. The old mill and the small waterfall nearby are great to look at and we even saw two deer in the woods. The walks are as easy or as hard as you want to make them. Car park is a bit pricey at a fiver for the day when we only wanted... More

We had a fabulous winter woodland walk on a sunny day followed by lunch at the great Gibson Mill cafe. Parking is £5 all day (pay and display) or park off-season for free on the roadside. There are numerous waymarked walks, some high level and some low, so should suit most people.

We come here quite regularly for a nice walk out. Nice and peaceful but such a gorgeous setting. We usually take a picnic with us to but if you do that remember you have to carry your rubbish home as they don't have bins. Lovely setting at Gibson mill and you have to make sure you go on the stepping... More

Long walk but saw deer & 2 heron, lovely day walked all the way from Hebdon Bridge and back. Weather was good. If you aren't so fit may be better to drive and part in the car park.

Wonderful walks in amazing scenery. A great place for dogs to run free. Fairly level walking on the main path but plenty of other paths to explore and lovely stream running through the woods.

This is a lovely place to go at this time of year as the trees are changing colour. There are lots of paths to wander around, the only slight problem can be parking - get there early on nice days as it's a very popular location. Would recommend everyone to visit.

Great place to walk and talk and take in ever changing views . Been before but still magical . Can take easy route or more difficult to suit your own ability . Dogs loved the occasional dip in the water. Enjoyed crossing stepping stones. Lovely coffee and snack in the cafe and a free dog biscuit too .
