Lovely walk & day out

Long walk but saw deer & 2 heron, lovely day walked all the way from Hebdon Bridge and back. Weather was good. If you aren't so fit may be better to drive and part in the car park.

Wonderful walks in amazing scenery. A great place for dogs to run free. Fairly level walking on the main path but plenty of other paths to explore and lovely stream running through the woods.

This is a lovely place to go at this time of year as the trees are changing colour. There are lots of paths to wander around, the only slight problem can be parking - get there early on nice days as it's a very popular location. Would recommend everyone to visit.

Great place to walk and talk and take in ever changing views . Been before but still magical . Can take easy route or more difficult to suit your own ability . Dogs loved the occasional dip in the water. Enjoyed crossing stepping stones. Lovely coffee and snack in the cafe and a free dog biscuit too .

Good range of well sign posted walks which mostly lead to a good tea shop! None of the walks are on the flat so you have to be reasonably agile but none are overly strenuous. There's good car parking, good advice from the information kiosks and useful, free maps. Great views: great day out.

Me and my daughter love this place. She is only 4 and finds it such an adventure with the woods and river. The lovely cafe at the end serves nice buns and snacks.

We did the Estate Track walk, from the Midgehole Road car park to the Mill and back, on a lovely, dry Autumn day. It's a nice walk, with lovely trees, rocks and mossy banks to see. The floor is level and suitable for pushchairs etc. £5 to park for non-NT members
