Always my first choice if there's a film I want to see. I feel comfortable visiting on my own or with friends. Limited screenings so follow the website for times. Special discounts/offers on some daytime screenings (free hot drink etc.) Lots of leg-room and comfy seats. Usually easy to park in Hebden Bridge in the evening and relatively cheap daytime... More

been here a couple of times recently, everything from arty film to blockbuster to kids movies. Great value, relaxed atmosphere with comfy chairs and a cuppa!

What a lovely place to visit. The surroundings in the cinema are beautiful with the nice old style touches like vintage tickets. Was a real treat to have a cup of tea with the movie and the pop corn was very affordable, not the silly normal cinema prices! Must visit if your in the area.

Owned by the community, tea and biscuits, current blockbusters, old classics and international films. One screen 2 floors (half circle balcony). They don't make them like this anymore. I love it, a break from fast paced modernity.

With a truly impressive diversity of films on offer and a thoroughly delightful atmosphere supported by creative, charming and friendly personable staff, Hebden Bridge Picture House is a joy and a place of social and cutural magic for me! Booked two seats for "Its a wonderful Life" on Christmas Eve. Arrived early and took our seats- absolutely stunned that all seats were taken and the atmosphere with people having a beer/ wine/ coffee or even a hot chocolate with delicious home made mince pies was absolutely amazing. Lovely comfortable seats with massive legroom and so clean. Film and sound... More

After the devastation of the flood ,how wonderful to see this delightful well loved cinema better than ever. The staff are welcoming and it is a joy to see the individuality of Hebden Bridge echoed in this lovely cosy building. Drinks of tea, coffee and chocolate are available as well as alcoholic beverages. Most definitely superior to those huge complexes, where... More

Recent criticism totally ridiculous and unjustified. This cinema is an utter gem and staff are responsive and intelligent, unlike a recent local reviewer it appears.

What a wonderful experience an evening here was. Tea/coffee and hot chocolate served in the foyer in proper mugs and drinks served in proper glasses which could be taken into the film. A lady to collect any dirty pots before the film commenced. What puts this cinema ahead of any multiplex was that that it was a popular film showing... More

Great cinema, great atmosphere, great bar, great seats, and one which I regularly frequent and support. Sound is not as good since the floods - too quiet but I can cope with that but what has really driven me to write this review was my experience last week. Adverts prior to the main feature is one of the pleasures of... More

Thanks for your review Sandy. I'm sorry you feel the cinema is 'going downhill quickly', as we've been working very hard since taking over the running of it in 2012 to improve it. I can reassure you that the flooding has not affected any of our sound equipment and it is the same set up as before. If you ever... More
