I have fond memories of coming here as a child, and enjoying the peace and quiet away from the hustle of the town/city. Me and my friends decided to come here last week during the warm, clement weather for a nice walk, and it brought back so many fond memories. The café has virtually remained unchanged from the outside (we... More

The path round the park is level and is accessible for wheelchairs. The one thing I would say is that if you go up to weir you will be on a road so watch out for the cars! I would advise you to get there early due to the limited amount of car parking. There is a lot of interesting... More

This was our first trip to Etherow Country Park. We have found lots of other parks, but found this by accident. What a beautiful place. They have a great café, public toilets and lots of lovely pathways to explore. You can sit on a bench and eat your sandwiches, watch the sailing boats or buy some grain and feed the... More

Used to take my daughters here for a walk and to feed the ducks and now doing it all over again with the Grandchildren. Warning - the Canada geese can be quite frightening to small children so beware. Walks can be as long or as short as you want. Pushchair friendly except for a few short flights of steps so... More

We had a great wander round, feeding the ducks and just enjoying the weather. Cafe is great and not badly priced. Get there early as the parking can be a nightmare

Plenty of wildlife to see on a walk round the park, the footpath takes you on a circular round the lodge and up through the woods, all pretty level so easy on the leg.

This is a brilliant place for kids to run, feed the ducks and grab an ice cream. The walking is flat and suited to a buggy. You can feed the ducks and watch the model boats sail. The cafe is great - freshly made and not expensive. 3 coffees 1 tea a milkshake & 2 orange cartons under £10.
