This was a fabulous day out, but there was an aviation event on so it was probably not representative of the normal experience. However the museum is really interesting and there are various exhibits such as aircraft cockpits that you can (under supervision) get inside....More

Beware when using Sat Nav from the bypass, just head for Woodford and it's by the garden centre and next door to the new Redrow estate. Take a fairly long drive down the disused runway and you arrive at the modern building with the flags...More

Well appointed small aeroplane museum with excellent displays. Beautifil whitr Vulcan outside. Its awkward to get to as the council is digging all the local roads up and ther aerodrome is a massive housing estate being built. The museum staff arebrilliant. The builders are foul.

First time to museum will not be the last. A white Vulcan in original paint. Have a Vulcan cockpit that can be entered. Well worth visiting. Talking to staff and found out they are trying to expand

My partner and I visited here as he loves WW2 planes, especially the Vulcan. But I was surprised to actually enjoy it too. The enthusiasm, knowledge and passion of every staff member was outstanding. As they are all volunteers you can tell they truly want...More

Amazing find and easily accessible by car. Staff give a warm and very friendly welcome from the start. All staff very knowledgeable. Very disabled friendly place with complimentary walking aids offered when available. Clean and tidy cafe with reasonable prices.

I’ve been recommending this to friends and family for weeks. I was expecting my husband to enjoy the visit but for me to be bored - so wrong. Beautifully laid out and plenty of info about the exhibits. An excellent place to visit.
