We were staying at my wife's parents caravan in Sewerby and had a wander down after 4pm when there is free entry to the gardens and zoo. The gardens are nice and worth having a walk around but the zoo could do with some TLC, some of the enclosures could do with being larger and calling it a Zoo is... More

Visited with my husband and baby boy on a weekday in April 2017. We had a brilliant day. It was very quiet (assume most people were out watching the Tour De Yorkshire) and so we had a lovely time without any crowds. The little zoo was fun, loved the penguins and lemurs. There was also a lovely enclosure for the... More

I just love this place and this visit was the first time I had actually gone inside the house / hall - fantastic. The park is great for the kids having things to entertain younger & older children. The grounds have loads of great spots for picnics and football / games. The train you can take down into Bridlington and... More

The house has been furnished as if it is 1910 using the Victoria and Albert reserves! The result is charming and informative. The Gardens are in superb order; someone is well organised and better still: inspired! The zoo is lovely and enjoyable. The admission fee is well worth paying!

Out walking with friends and kids, and literally fell into this place. Lots going on for the Easter weekend, we had a wander round the gardens, the zoo, kids playground, and enjoyed the cafe. Facilities were clean, and it's next door to the pub, so worked well for us, worth a visit.
