The award winning King Edward Mine Museum which specialises in the mining history of Cornwall. The mine dates from the 19th century and most of the equipment in the mill has been restored to working order.The buildings are all Grade II* listed and are of National importance. The site is part of the World Heritage Area of Cornwall. The Museum is open during the summer - see website for opening times.

A great informative tour with working examples of refining of tin and instruction of methods the two guides were extremely knowledgable of workings through the ages and the transformation with industrial methods and mechanisation improving safety and working conditions

This is run by volunteers who really know their stuff. Good demos but not really for small kids. But great value for money.

To understand how different Cornwall was only 150 years ago visiting places like this is a must. Volunteers with heart and enthusiasm as well as skill and determination have brought this Mine area to life. Well done all
