Thanks Pippa, and glad you love the church. We are hoping to have the heating sorted out this year as part of the proposed church reordering. We agree that the bell-ringers, organist and choir are wonderful and a real asset for the church.

St Martin's is a church building which has stood proud and tall for hundreds of years. It is easily visible for miles around. If history and architecture are your thing, then there is plenty to interest you here. But St Martin's church is much more...More

what a magical place! we went to the christmas service with her old school and she sang for the school in their choir. The church has a lot of parking and once inside the people are welcoming and friendly.

In a town which for almost two hundred years has been predominantly Methodist this is a surprisingly big parish church. I have never been here to a regular service, only two family weddings and one funeral, each of those more than thirty years ago. Just...More

I had an interest in this building and was delighted to find it open with a warm welcome from a charming lady who was arranging flowers. The main door dates back to Norman times and is well worth a 2nd look. The vaulted timbers of...More

What days and hours is the church open to the public? Do you have disabled access? Is there any convenient public parking? Does the church have a website with details of services and activities? Is it a high, low or evangelical Anglican church? Are there female clergy?
