We visited with friends in early October, when everywhere was very quiet and there were few other people there except for some of the volunteer helpers. It was not immediately obvious that the place was open at all, but we were directed to the shop and visitor centre and thence to the museum. Yes, it is all somewhat run down,... More

Ignore all negative comments. This is a working farm run by someone who clearly loves and cares for all his horses and other animals. A quaint place giving a loving home to unwanted horses, he deserves a medal and worth every penny of the £7.50 entrance fee. It is not shiny and plastic, it is rustic, muddy, nostalgic and a... This was by far the biggest surprise and BEST day of our week in Cornwall. We had read some not so favourable reviews but went with an open mind. and WOW. we ended up spending the entire day there. DO NOT go if you are expecting 5 star luxury, there is ivy growing in the yard side toilets, mud and... More

If you are expecting all mod cons with tea shop, gift shop etc, go elsewhere. BUT...if you would like to see genuine people running a genuine place for working horses THEN GO!! I would recommend this place for its sheer nostalgia. It is a place that is untouched by the modernized world. It is loved by the people who run... More

This is our families second visit to this fantastic working farm - we would highly recommend it. We had a full tour by the young gentleman who was very informative and helpful; the carriages were a joy to look at and the horses were amazing especially the foals and are all cared for so very well. We will be back... More

Please ignore all the negative comments on here and judge for yourselves. We spent a lovely couple of hours on the farm and talking to Harry with his expertise and knowledge of the horses and other animals. The horses are very well cared for and the museum is very interesting with lots of carts and carriages dating back to the... More

After our disgusting visit last year. Reading other reviews we thought we would try again as we do love horses. Disgusting site, horses clearly need more attention. The dog, still aggressive. Servers us right for handing out a second chance to such a poorly looked after environment. How your making money off of it disturbs me greatly. The thought of... More

This was my third visit two new foals just magical. The compassion shown for this rare breed is second to none. There is so much to see even down to the carriages. Harry deserves a medal for keeping the breed alive in Cornwall. This is a working attraction not to be missed.

We visited on the off chance. A friendly working farm where the passion for horses clearly shows through. It is the first time I have been up close and fed horses, and in this case Suffolk Punches. Good to know the £7.50 entry fee goes to the upkeep of the horses, and not some faceless suit. Yes a bit dirty... More
