Even better than last time

We had visited the garden before and enjoyed it but I think May must be the best time to go. The colours were absolutely amazing and everything seemed to be at its peak. The... read more

I have dreamt of visiting the garden for many, many years. I sadly picked a very very bust day, but it was the only day we had free in that area. It was worse than a theme park. No chance to just stop and feel the magic of the place, just a huge conveyor belt of people trudging along. Most... More

We had visited the garden before and enjoyed it but I think May must be the best time to go. The colours were absolutely amazing and everything seemed to be at its peak. The gardens are so well maintained and tidy. We loved seeing the lambs and piglets in The Barn too. The Steward's Café serves a selection of snacks... More

looked forwards to our visit last week. Very disappointed my husband and I are both Disabled, paths not suitable at all for wheelchairs or walkers. Hoped to see plenty of flowers must have missed them all never saw any, very disappointed would not recommend if you are unable to climb or walk unaided.

The Lost a Gardens of Heligan was an excursion on the Shearings St. Ives and the Isles of Scilly. It is a wonderful place and a credit to all who have worked so hard to restore the place. We were fortunate enough to have a guided tour of part of the gardens by Sarah and Graham. We were divided into... More

Could do more with signposting various options and walks. One wonders when certain shrubs stop flowering for example rhodo's, there is hardly any other colour. However their range of plants to purchase is really good.

Looking for a family activity my wife and I visited with our five year old boy. Ford car owners please note we were travelling from Newquay and on the way to Nunnery Hill, the Sat Nav will lead you down something called 'Unnamed Street'. Beware. A Ford Edge in front of our Focus had to reverse back out. We made... More

Not sure what to expect in Dec but was on a late holiday so wanted some fresh air. This place didn't disappoint. At every turn there was something to see. The rope bridge was deserted and all of the walks quiet but lovely still to see. The faces and sleeping lady were just wow in my opinion so clever and... More

I was unprepared for the size of this place. If you have the stamina, allow a full day and go into the Jungle. There is a path leaflet (accuracy variable), and the Jungle is well named with it's Burma Rope Bridge. (Those of a nervous disposition stay clear), but it's perfectly safe of course and well worth the effort. There... More

A truly wonderful day out for the whole family to enjoy (including dogs). This really is a full day attraction with stunning scenery and walkways to explore the various sections of the gardens. A family favourite was the Jungle with the rope bridge to fully immerse yourself into the environment. Lovely cafe and restaurant with free pic nic blankets available... More

One of the highlights of a week in Cornwall. The walks are varied, interesting and fun in equal measure, with loads to look at. Went here and also the Eden Project (very overpriced and not as interesting), and would definitely recommend this as the better day out.
