We really enjoyed our day here, loved the bird view hide, we saw lots and even a woodpecker. Great place to take children. Although we are pensioners ! Enjoyed seeing the Owls & the pig & piglets. Beautiful gardens to walk and take some time out. There are lots of picnic areas although we ate in the cafe - good... More

During my family's annual visit to Cornwall the Lost Gardens are always a must visit. Whatever time of year it is always a pleasure to see how these beautiful gardens are being restored and brought back to life following a long period of neglect - this year the camellias and rhododendrons. The vegetable patch was beautifully tended and Diggory the... More

We enjoyed the lost gardens as much as the Eden project. There are loads to do here with lots of great things to for all the family. The set out of the gardens & the trees are stunning! The food was first class where ever we ate. Allow a good day to fit everything in & dont miss the farm... More

Gardens are brilliant as is the general experience but if you decide to eat there stick to the excellent cakes unless you like cold breakfasts, last two visits we have had to return all of our breakfasts because they were cold, on this weeks visit we complained not only about the cold food but also about the small amount of... Everything from formal kitchen garden right through to its own jungle area and rope bridge. There gardens are extensive and will take half a day to see most of at least. There is also a wildlife hide to view all the feeding birds and possibly catch a glimpse of a barn owl.

Certainly a well hidden garden. Without satnav you'd never find it, as there don't appear to be any road signs. But well worth the detour from our trip from Falmouth to London to visit this lost gem. Such an interesting history and amazing how they found all this hidden work so unique and unlike the usual gardens.

We love Heligan. It's great on both a rainy and sunny day. It has changed slightly since they started their locals pass, but we think it's great that it's more accessible to other families locally.

We visited the gardens as a group of adults and children and we all found something for everyone. The trail is very well laid out with activities and sights along the way. This not only encourages he troops to carry on but thoroughly entertains them also for the way. Fabulous day out with an extra treat of meeting Owls and... More
