Arriving by Ferry from Plymouth, this is a great trip especially as we were lucky with fine and sunny weather. We were pleasantly surprised by the house situation and in particular the grounds with the italianate garden and fountain, and Orangery serving good food. A very pleasant time was spent sitting here enjoying the environment. Having explored the gardens, we... More

After ordering lunch and drinks on a bustling but not particularly busy Sunday around 1pm, we were disappointed when two cups of beige liquid were presented to our table. Wondering whether the mustard-coloured cups made the coffee look insipid, we were proved wrong upon tasting. For £2.50 we were expecting a little flavour and aroma but alas there was none;... More

Insipid watery coffee and cold chips and a waitress who's idea of customer service is to treat unhappy customers like annoying small children. No, since you asked in a patronising sneer, I am not 'happy now.' Arrogant bullying staff belong on TV sitcoms, some urgent remedial training needed before we would touch the place with a bargepole again.

We visited for lunch and wished we hadn't. The Fish and Chips was very disappointing, the chips were ok but the fish was very poorly cooked, the batter still wet on the inside. The sandwiches even less inspiring, my wife described her Brie and Grape effort as probably the most awful sandwich she had experienced for a long time. We... More

We have lived near here for quite a few years but have never visited any part other than Barn Pool where we have anchored our boat for a lunch stop and tendered across to the beach or sailed round to Cawsand and Rame Head looking up at people visiting the House via the ferry wondering how you can get there... Visited this lovely house and grounds recently. The house is so light and airy and the exhibitions are very informative. The National Carmella collection is in the grounds. Sadly I was about 2 weeks late to see them at their best. Compared to some properties the entrance fee is tiny! No charge at all for the grounds. Would love to... More

Came here for a car show and was not disappointed with the show or place! The views are outstanding and the house is outstanding. It is worth a visit especially on a sunny day where the views can be appreciated
