Byron Lighthouse is an amazing place. It's the most easterly point of Australian mainland. It's all surrounded by water and if you are lucky you can watch whales from up on the top. Also, being in the middle of Gold Coast and Ballina, Byronshire has...More

There are great views from the lighthouse itself. i would recommend you take the easy 5 minute walk to the end of the point though so you can take a picture beside the sign saying eastern most point on the Australian mainland

Parking is not easy but well worth the trouble. The views are amazing and it's a place you will appreciate for it's natural beauty. Bring coins to pay for parking if you are lucky and find a spot near the top.

A must visit spot if in the area. Some of the best views in all of Australia. There's the option of climbing to the top or just enjoying the scenery.
