The drive out to the cave was a bit longer than anticipated but once we arrived at the camp ground we realised it was well worth the half hour drive. The sparseness of the countryside was delightful. The walk to the cave was easy to...More

We had lunch at the camp/picnic grounds, really quiet and peaceful spot off the beaten track.Enjoyed the walk up the hill to Ben Halls Cave, you get a real feel for how difficult it would have been hiding out there but at the same time...More

The Weddin Mountains National Park also houses Seaton's Farm, a Depression era corrugated iron home which is not to be missed. It's not well signposted but worth the search to see how dirt-poor people worked back-breakingly hard, survived and made do in that terrible time....More

The reserve is part of the Weddin Mountain National Park and so has very good facilities for the outdoor experience. Great information about the history of the area. While you are there, make sure that you visit Seaton's Farm

The camping ground at the start of the short climb up to the cave is lovely, lots of unpowered sites, some new undercover BBQ areas and a toilet. The walk to the cave is all up and a bit rocky but nothing too difficult and...More

The museum in Forbes would be a good place. They have a great exhibition of things on Ben Hall and I am sure would be keen to have more.
