Most annoying PA system to let you know your oreder is ready. Both of our orders were wrong and not cooked properly. Not even the chips. One bite and in the bin. monotone boring voice "LAST CALL FOR HOT CHIPS, PIES, BURGERS, TOASTED ASPARAGUS SANDWICHES AND ALL HOT FOOD... PAUL YOUR BURGER WITH NO ONION IS READY...LAST CALL...." Really painful... More

There is something about this place that still attracts you and it only a very short turn off the Hume Highway 5 miles from you know where, to take in the memory's of the dog. A must stop when heading down the Hume.

A great place to stop for lunch or fuel or just a break. The kids will enjoy seeing the dog as referred to in the story.

Oliver's Real Food restaurant at the Dog is a pretty typical chain eatery, but with organic food. It might be organic, but I suspect it's also pre-prepared (and I guess frozen) and then microwaved. Pretty ordinary. Service quite good and fast, place is clean and there is good parking. A giant koala outside allows kids to climb inside and pretend... More

I had never bothered to turn off the highway for this because I thought it would just be a little statue. Instead I found a number of gift shops and cafes in a really nice environment. Well worth turning off the highway to check it out and grab lunch or a coffee

My wife and I stopped at this local tourist attraction on our Trafalgar tour. The dog on the tuckerbox relates to an old poem from the 19th century.  It is about a bullock driver’s dog who used to guard his lunch box, or tuckerbox as they called it back then, by sitting on it. Bland enough tourist shop, but great... More
