Wonderful time at Booderee National Park

This was our first time in Jervis Bay and we decided to spend a day at the Booderee National Park. There is an entrance fee of $11 per vehicle, but as this lasts for 48 hours, it works out inexpensive. If you are stuck for ideas and things to do then there is an info centre just by the entrance... We wanted to explore this area as we were visiting the area for the first time. We visited Hyams Beach and then decided to go further afield into the Booderee National Park to visit more of the beaches. There is a fee of $11.00 to enter the National Park but it lasts 48 hours. Comparing prices with parking in Sydney... More

As part of our little family trip around NSW (New South Wales) and ACT (Australian Capital Territory), we decided Jervis Bay and Booderee National Park were among the best places to go. We had some family coming from Europe, and to them, it was exceptionally important to get in contact with nature, experience some of the wonders we have almost... More

Being relatively close to Sydney you'd assume that this place would be overrun by tourists etc. Despite being quite busy, the management of the park stopped it from feeling like you couldn't breathe for tourist numbers. I got the sense that there were many NSW locals who use this as their regular weekend camping destination and for good reason. There... More

Well worth the vehicle entry fee. We spent the day at Murrays Beach which was great for our young family. The beach is quite sheltered and protected from the wind. We found a shady spot and enjoyed the beautiful scenery while the kids paddled and played. On the way out we stopped at Green Patch to see the beautiful birds... More

We had one of our best days at Jervis. Our plan was to kayak from murrays beach boat ramp out. Just as we got out of the boat ramp we encountered 3x Huge whales, what a great experience. We paddled with them for ages until we were tired then slowed down. Paddled then to the headland between Bowen island and... More

I am writing to share of our experience and warn future travellers to the area as a warning of a poorly organised National Park. Firstly it goes without saying that the National Park is beautiful, the beaches are beautiful and the wildlife on show is spectacular. What has been created however is a prime hotspot for tourism theft. We were... More

Loved the national park! It costs $11 per car for entry for 2 days but is well worth it. Gorgeous scenery, beaches and wildlife. Awesome range of walks to go on.

We have visited the national park on recent trips to Jervis Bay. The beaches are spectacular and less populated than Hyams Beach. There are lots of opportunities to sight wildlife including kangaroos, echidnas and exotic birds. There are great walking trails and places to stop and camp. Definitely recommended!

Crystal Clear waters with the whitest sand beach. It is a must visit. Head straight to Green Patch or Bristol Point. Soak in the surroundings and take a walk or dip in the sea. Beach is clean and secluded. Do visit the Booderee Botanic Garden as well.
