Have to agree with most of the previous reviews, while very challenging it is most rewarding trek up Mt Gower. Dean, our guide with daughter Kayla and Luke from Pine Trees provided massive amounts of excellent info. Ours was final part of a "Seven Peaks...More

This was my second time up this beautiful mountain, with Dean and Kayla adding more to the day than just climbing to the top. So much knowledge of the flora and fauna - which is so unique, recalled added to the quality of the trek.

It started innocently and benignly enough. A walk along a flat coastal track that segways into a lush rainforest comprising largely of a canopy of Kentia palms. To the right are glimpses of the lagoon and reef from a different aspect to that seen earlier...More

Do this climb if you can. It is a unique experience. The view changes constantly through out the day. i am a bit nervous of heights and I felt a great sense of achievement when I completed this hike.

Great hike with Jack as our guide. Spectacular views of Lord Howe found nowhere else on the Island. But beware that the hike is tough with several near vertical scrambles and cliff walks. I'm 57 years old and definitely nursed a few sore muscles the...More
