This fascinating area includes the colonial history of the settlement of Port Stephens and the Maritime history of the Lighthouse. It is a beautiful setting with a magnificent view looking towards the opening of the harbour at Mt Tomaree. We had a nice lunch at the Teahouse where they welcomed our dog and we chatted to another local couple with... More

This place is my no1 favourite place of all the restaurant in the bay! The food is great, healthy and cheap! The place is so relaxing and you get the beautiful ocean view of the bay. Whether you just want to have a cup of coffee, breakfast or lunch this is the best! I love this place. I highly recommend... More

the perfect place to be if you want to see Port stephens all at once . On a clear day the view is fantastic. A small kitchen limits the choice of menu but the food is some of the best i have had. "Devonshire tea" is great for the morning coffee . Not the best place to be on a... More

Sit back & enjoy a meal while you are captivated by the stunning views looking out over Shoal Bay. The array of birds entertain & a tour around the Lighthouse museum is great for gaining an understanding of the areas local history & the history of lighthouses in general.

This is a jewel in paradise! The views are great as are the service & coffee. Don't forget to check out the museum, gift shop and marine rescue.

If we didn't have the young bloke we would have stopped for coffee. Very interesting museum there. Staff were lovely in the souvenir shop. Could walk round part of the perimeter which was nice. Was expecting a tall white light house though. But still interesting.

This place is worth having a look at as you will be able to see how the sea rescue service works on a day to day basis. The lighthouse also contains a museum, cafe and a gift shop and will appeal to all ages. The guide my group had was very informative about the history of the lighthouse and its... More

A visit to the Light House and Tea Rooms is a must. Although parking can cause a few anxious moments, the view, the history and significance is well worth the effort. The carrot cake in the tea rooms is just great - don't miss the opportunity to have a slice. It was a privilege to spend a few moments talking... More

Drove up the lighthouse early and took some nice pictures, the grounds are beautiful and they probably have wedding photos here. There is a cafe and museum but we just went there for the view.
