Well worth doing.

Take water and food if you're planning to make the hike to the summit. The chair lift was $35 per person but you can multi use on the same day.

We had a great day out doing the summit walk. The way up is strenuous, so u do need to be reasonably fit ! But in saying that , our family of 2 adults and 2 kids aged 10 and 16 years made it to the summit and back in 4 hours, with stops ! Great view and lovely Alpine... More

This is a two part review really, one for the scenery which is absolutely stunningly beautiful and worth any amount of effort to reach. We did the summit walk and it was one of the best walks for views I have ever done, I would recommend this very highly. One issue I will say though is the staff at the... More

We set off from Charlottes Pass, taking the Main Range track. Stopping at Blue Lake for a quick lunch and then on to Hannels Spur to camp the night. Next day we climbed Mt Kosciuszko, before returning to Charlottes Pass via the Summit Walk. All up it was around 20km. It can be done in a day, but we wanted... More

I Just spent Easter 2017 mountain biking along some of the trails surrounding Thredbo village. I would call myself a beginning/intermediate rider. Every ride I did had spectacular scenery. On a couple of the intermediate trails I had to get off and walk due to rocks or just not being able to navigate turns etc. I thoroughly recommend the Thredbo... More

Great Walks Long walk....always re-apply sunscreen. Can be good to invest in good shoes. The grated pathway, which protect the fragile alpine plants are solid and level except for the final ascent to Mt Kosciuszko which is a paved or rocky pathway which is tough going for kids.

This is an easy walk if you are moderately fit. No hiking boots or walking poles required. A good pair of running shoes will suffice. No map needed as the route is very easy to follow and is likely to be busy with many other hikers also doing the hike. You are above the tree line...... so no shade. You... More

Did the main trek and took us about 9 hours return but was absolutely worth the pain. The track is not at all easy for those planning to do the full circuit trek. The return road is full of gravels

6.5 km from top of lift will take you about 2.5 hrs with frequent rest stops for water (bring your own) and to admire your surroundings. The toilets are 40 mins from the summit so make sure you can last at least 2 hours after your coffees at breakfast ! Paths are mostly grates (minimal enviro impact) with a few... More

this national park is quite easily acceded from Canberra and also Sydney or Melbourne. after 2 hours and a half drive from Canberra, we arrived the park entry station 17 AUD/day/vehicle and then lodged in small lovely hotel in Thredbo, nearest starting point to reach rooftop of Australia by chairlift and then on our own pace 3-4hours on well paved...
