70 minute trip was nice, but would prefer the fall excursion in the future. Leaf cover blocks most of the river views. Recommend the open air cars which sell out first

Jim Thorpe, Pa. is a one of a kind town in the USA. Great buildings, scenery, food and shopping. The train kind of tops it all off. It is located in the downtown historic district which is very clean and well maintained. The ride through...More

We all enjoyed the relaxing trip through the gorge. Glad we picked the open cars as was a very hot day. Little breezes helped as did the coolness from the mountain side shade. Trains ran on-time (70 minutes as advertised) and everything was professionally done!

My wife and I went there last weekend. We recommend paying the extra 5 dollars for the open air car, which was 18 each per person. The ride goes up along the river gorge about 8 miles, then returns along the same path along the...More

Absolutely take this relaxing railroad ride for 1 hour. Very historical, and worth the ride since the price is right.

Nice way to spend an hour. Scenery in fall probably quite nice. Limited views from left side of train(as facing forward).
