Bundle up, if you bike the Lehigh Gorge Trail in the fall, because it is chilly. Being from the warmer West, we had not brought enough to wear and the day was short on sun both because of daylight savings and the lack of light in the gorge. But by a mile into our 15-mile ride, the shivers subsided in... More

This is a truly beautiful bike ride. It is about 25 miles from White Haven back down to Jim Thorpe. They take you on a school bus, along with your bike or rental bike to the top of the trail. The staff was helpful and friendly. Be aware: parking in Jim Thorpe can be a bit challenging. If you're coming... More

We arrived without reservations and had no trouble getting on the 10:00 shuttle to White Haven. The bus driver was very friendly and full of advice. 1 1/2 miles into our ride, my husband got a flat tire. We remembered what the driver said, walked back to the little bike maintenance area at the beginning of the trail, bought a... More

Pocono Biking is right in Jim Thorpe, had a shuttle and bikes available at short notice. Easy to get signed up, good advice about the Lehigh Valley trail, straightforward shuttle, decent bikes and a great day.

My daughter and I brought our own bikes for this trip, but had I known how easy it is to rent, I would have left them at home. The people at Pocono biking are knowledgeable and very helpful and friendly. We reserved our trip time and left our bikes with them. We shopped around town and returned to board a... More

Lots of friendly folks having a good time in the fresh air. Prices are reasonable for riding the shuttle bus and renting bikes with helmets.

My husband and I brought our own bikes, so we only used the shuttle service. Unfortunately, we had misread the brochure and wanted to start at White Haven and shuttle back. The White Haven location wasn't open, so when we called and realized the situation, we gunned to Jim Thorpe to catch the 11am shuttle. I had hoped to be... More

My sister rented a bike for our 25 mile trip. When they dropped us off at white haven, they found something wrong with her bike and said they fixed it. However, she couldn't keep up with the rest of us on the trip back to Jim Thorpe. When she complained about her discomfort, I offered to switch my personal bike... More

Enjoyed nice bike ride from Rockport down to Jim Thorpe. It is important for people to realize that this is not a downhill ride at all. The elevation remains about constant for almost the entire trail at about 800-1000 feet. This is because you are not really riding down a mountain. You are riding within the river ridge (or valley)... More
