I'm older, age 61, and always wanted to run the Stonycreek Canyon just below my home outside of Hollsopple. The boy is an avid kayaker, but I can't do a hard boat--no skills, claustrophobic and no desire to gain skills. Chad, the owner, and I have talked about doing it in a raft for a few years now. Finally got... More

This is so much fun. Being that I live here usually do it 3-4 times in summer. People that own it are awesome. Some tubes have a place for a small cooler. After rain storm is really cool water level really goes up.

I had heard mixed reviews coming into this which I guess somewhat lowered my expectations, but I think I would've enjoyed it no matter what. It is a great, easy way to relax on a sunny day. Some parts of the river are foamy/visibly dirty, but they are very few and towards the end, and pretty easy to paddle away... More

We bought a Groupon for this event which made it super reasonable for the four of us. There was not much information about it anywhere online so we did not know what to expect. You will pull into a small gravel parking lot and to the side of the brick building will be a tent to check in at. Kids... More

Four of my friends and I saw this advertised on Groupon so we decided to try it. We figured it would be relaxing floating down the river on a summer day. Well couldn't be further from the truth on what we experienced. I've read some of the reviews and looked at some of the pictures and I'm not sure where... More

I have not personally done this, but we hike near the river and watch the people floating down the river. We have been having enough rain, so the water level look decent. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. at the end of the season last year, several band set up their music at different sites so the tubers could stop... More

Coal Tubin' Pennsylvania is a no frills, river tubing experience. We highly recommend taking an afternoon/day to visit. We bought the Groupon, which included a 2.5 hour tubing trip down the Stoney River. Unfortunately due to lack of rain, we were only able to do 1/2 the river, but the company let us go down twice, which was a lot... More

Coal Tubin in Johnstown, PA is fun...fun...fun. It is quite simple. You show up, pay the rate, ride a bus to the drop off location and float down stoney creek. bring whatever you want. We had a group do it this past weekend and it was a blast. Interacting with all the other tubers is fantastic. We will be doing... More
