We’ve toured a few historic houses through the states and this had to be one of our top three tours. Informative and fun, Wheatland is not to be missed. A nice chance of pace from the Amish sites in the area.

The tour guide brought out unknown facts about Pres.James Buchanan. It made history come alive for me. If you like history, this is a good place to visit.

I didn't know much about Buchanan prior to this tour, but discovered he was a complex man and that likely anyone in the office at that time would have struggled. They have done an amazing job preserving his house, with many original items. Unlike other...More

Excellent costumed volunteer tour guide gave an excellent tour of this beautifully restored property of President Buchanan, generally regarded as one of our worst presidents--but he led the country at a most difficult time.
