This Pennsylvania State Park is built around a reservoir. There are many campsites but only about half are available this early in the season. The sites are well-spaced, but not heavily screened from each other. Sites vary widely in their state of being level. We selected site #22 that is close to the lake. Between the site and the lake... Good clean camping, walking around the lake on paved path. Swimming, fishing from boat or dock (consult park officials for regulations on all, including days, times, cost to camp, etc. They're courteous and helpful). Restrooms maintained, security enforced. Outdoor activities year round center on nature walking, other. Some advertised locally. Consult park office or website for information. Nearby Tuscarora is... More

This park is so beautiful, especially in the fall. The path around the lake is a great walk, paved for making your walk or biking easier and safer. Great for camping, lots of campsites. For me it's a gem, close to home.

We enjoyed a beautiful weekend camping at Locust Lake. We had lakeside camping and it was a wonderful walk around the lake and stopping for ice cream at the camp store. Amazing scenery! Must return.

We recently stated at locust lake, we had 4 sites for our group. There was my family with 2 teenagers, a family with three kids between 8-9, a family with two kids 10-12, and a couple. We all had a blast! The camp sites are wooded and beautiful. The lake is open and bright. The kids swam, rode bikes, built... More

We live an hour from locust lake so we thought it would be a fun day trip for two year old, although we also brought two month old. Overall, it was not worth the drive for us but it was not a bad park. The major downside was the parking is very far from the beach, especially when lugging beach... More

This was our second visit to Locust Lake with 4 kids ranging in ages from 10-18. Book early so that you can get a site on the lake. These premium sites go quickly. Our site was perfect! We were not only on the lake, but we were close to the beach, bath house, playground, and store! The beach is small... More
