Parking is available at the entrance to the trail to the overlook. The hike is mixed as you enter. A short little incline (slightly rocky) and then the trail is well maintained to the overlook. The overlook has different ways to access the two major...More

I tell everyone that they should visit. It's not a difficult walk but if you want a more challenging hike there are other paths that you can take. When you get to the view you want to take a ton of pictures because it's amazing!

We had a great walk up to Chickies Rock County Park main overlook. It was a simple incline in regular shoes and rewarded us with lovely views.

It was about a 0.6 mile walk from the parking on Rt 441. Not a hard walk. Kids were out on the cliffs smoking and hanging out. It's a pretty view overlooking the Susquehanna, but we've seen others just as nice.

We had a beautiful February day so my wife and I visited Chickies Rock. We've heard about it but it was our first visit. The Riverview and Heritage Trails provided some enjoyable hiking/walking.

Ten years ago this had a great overlook where you could see the whole valley, complete with bridges crossing the susquehanna river, and across the river to York, PA. I was there a while back and the trees had really overgrown and obscured that amazing...More
