Perched on a rock above a gushing waterfall, this historic house was built for a Pittsburgh family by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in the 1930s, ingeniously designed to blend harmoniously into the tranquil and beautiful woods around it.

It's nearly two hours south of Pittsburgh, driving. Parking was easy enough, but I could see it getting very busy at peak times. The house is a phenomenal piece of work by FLW. For the 1930's, it was ahead of its time. It has some...More

I'm not a huge architecture fan, but they way they built this house over the stream in the side of the mountain was impressive. What is not as well known is the art collection that is housed at the house. That in itself was worth...More

Not disappointed. From the reservation stage in May until our visit in October, everything went as planned. Even with the drizzle, the colors were brilliant, the staff courteous and helpful, the information interesting and noteworthy. Only one recommendation for the second day at Polymath park,...More

No, the area is rural and even using a GPS you can get lost because you are in the mountains. You need a car or be part of a tour with a bus.
