The New Hope & Ivyland Railroad is nestled 37 miles outside of Philadelphia in Bucks County’s premiere destination; New Hope, Pennsylvania. A Delaware river town chock-full of niche shops and resturants, a fitting locale for a day or night out with friends & family. We provide a glimpse into travel of a bygone era on historic trains traveling over tracks that were laid in 1891 by the North-East Pennsylvania Railroad.

Train ride was so-so. No one was available to take our tickets at the station despite instructions to arrive 20 minutes early. Train left 10 minutes behind schedule.

While the train ride was enjoyable the speakers did not work anywhere on the train so we could not understand the narrative. We asked to sit in the open air cabin and were told we needed to pay an upgrade. But yet other people moved...More

A great way to experience train travel in the early to mid 20th century. The 45 minute ride through the beautiful Bucks County countryside gives you an idea of how people used to travel. Fun experience with experienced staff.

Twenty minutes out and twenty back through unremarkable scenery. After very fourth word, the guide's voice would cut out for several words making it virtually impossible to follow. Try one of the train rides in Jim Thorpe or Kutztown for impressive scenery or a real...More

You can buy at the station but I would suggest checking Groupons for advance purchase discounts.
