Try the incline on a clear day! Great views of the city

This incline is the oldest in the country (and was the closest to our hotel). We used after a long bike ride so we got roundtrip tickets ($5 per person round trip in 2017). The views from Mt Washington are great, especially on a clear day where we could see all the way to the cathedral of knowledge and way... More

A short ride with not much interesting to see. Lookout area at the top. Nice ice cream shop about a block away. Kids would enjoy riding this.

Steeper incline than Duquesne & still used by locals for transportation. No gift shop or opportunity to view inner workings like Duquesne. However, felt it had a better view of the Pittsburgh bridges from the outlook.

Exact amount of money needed or a credit card! It was about $5 to park before the ride. For three of us it was $10.50 round trip on the incline. The cars are not heated or air conditioned but it is a pretty quick trip. The day went it happened to be 86 degrees and we didn't break a sweat.... More

Well, I have to hope I don't end up on You Tube. I had very little time to see Pittsburgh but I knew this was sort of a "must do" if you're here. Well I am claustrophobic and I had a lot of trouble talking myself into entering the cable car. I probably spent an hour watching cars go back... More

Highly recommend. Cheap tickets. View of the city. When you get to the top, check out Mt. Washington area.

A very slow incline with great views of the 3 rivers as it climbs. When you get top the top, there are a few great restaurants that you can choose for a nice dinner with a view.

The Monongahela and Duquesne Inclines are a great pair. It probably doesn't matter which one you do first, but you should really do both and walk Grandview between them. At the Monongahela end, be sure to walk down Shiloh Street for ice cream or a meal. What a great place.

We enjoyed our trip up and down this incline. We very much enjoyed the many great views from on top!!! Gorgeous. We were at top during dusk when the city lights were on. Gorgeous and totally worth the trip!!! Nice that senior citizens can ride free too!!!!

This was a great view. Marvelous way to see the city and view the three rivers that come together. Beautiful scenery.
