Senior bargain

We visited on senior day and it is a real bargain. The highlight was the railroad display, with all the local sites and multiple trains. Fabulous

We took our kids, 7 and 4, to visit the science center today. They had fun looking at the exhibits and loved the planetarium, where they had a Mr. Rogers themed show. I was less than impressed with their café area, though. We ordered our food but there isn't a ton of space/tables, so we literally spent 10 min walking... More

Our elementary aged kids enjoyed this. They had a great time. It would have been a better experience had the guy at the front desk not been so grumpy. He clearly did not want to be there. He also failed to tell us that the submarine was not open during the week even though we confirmed that it was part... More

Great place in the city to take children! I'd even recommend the science center above the children's museum! The submarine and imax movies are worth a see!

Thought it would be yet another science museum, but was pleasantly surprised. The floor on robotics was lots of fun. Don't miss the Miniature Railroad and Village either - it was one of the best ones we have seen. We almost missed the highlight of our visit, the Highmark Sportswork - we finished the main building and thought that was... More

Went on New Year's Eve and for holiday time the crowds were surprisingly manageable. We went right at opening so that we could avoid long lines for popular events at the sports science building - just a short walk away from the main building. Although a number of events like the baseball pitching and batting cages were out of order,... More

There are a lot of different activities for children to do including a water table, train, tunnel, submarine, robots, and an entire different building for the Sports Works that is included as well. My child wasn't really ready for Sports Works until he was 3. The cafe is really good as well with a lot of different choices. One thing... More

We went to the Carnegie Science Center (CSC) the Tuesday after Christmas. Thought it would be a great thing to do with the kids since they were off school and I was on vacation. I did not realize that the week after Christmas (with kids off school and families in from out of town looking for something special to do)... More

We mainly visited the museum to see the USS Requin. We were told that we could still see the ship but it was closed due to cold weather so we couldn't get on it. What we didn't know is we really didn't have to pay anything to just walk outside and see it. Wish the attendant had informed us of... More
