A young woman at the candle shop a few blocks away suggested a walk through the cemetery. Some headstones go back to 1700s.

This is literally my backyard & I walk here almost every day. It is a lovely place for a quiet stroll/run past grave-sites that go back prior to the Civil War and up to today. There are many local personalities buried here. If you have...More

Allegheny Cemetery is very pretty and quiet on a nice day. One can walk from the cemetery along Butler street to shops/food in Lawrenceville. The cemetery is clean and very nice to walk around or even sit and read.

If you have a friend or relative here, it's pleasant and peaceful. I'm surprised it came up for a review solicitation but it's a cemetery... neighbors are quiet

My friends & I adore this place. Ducks, deer, amazing monuments. If cemeteries are your thing-make the trek.

A walking tour with a map and comfortable shoes is a must to get the most from the history of the cemetery. Local historic names as well as nationally known are included in the population.

We have family buried here; so, we visit often. If coming to just to walk, wear comfortable shoes as this cemetery is quite large. It is well maintained and we make a point of telling them at the office.
