The 5,286-acre Nockamixon State Park is in the rolling hills of scenic Bucks County, close enough to Philadelphia or a day trip, but far enough away for a vacation. Tohickon Creek, Three Mile Run, and Haycock Run feed the 1,450-acre Lake Nockamixon, which is a rest stop for migrating waterfowl and a destination for boaters and anglers. Visitors can stay the night in a cabin or enjoy the many activities of the park for the day. Popular activities are picnicking, swimming in the pool, hiking, biking, disc golf, hunting, fishing, and boating. Seasons and Hours: The park is open every day of the year, sunrise to sunset. Day use areas close at dusk. The park office is open specific hours. Fishing and boating is permitted 24 hours a day in designated areas. Some park areas are closed to vehicles in the winter. Contact the park office for facility seasons and hours.

Lovely park with great views

I love just driving to the park in the fall to the various access points and taking pictures of the fall foliage changing colors.

I love everything about this park with the exception that they don't allow swimming in the lake. I don't understand why. They offer a swimming pool, but why have this beautiful, huge body of water and allow fishing, canoeing, kayaking and sailing, but not swimming? Doesn't seem fair to those of us who don't do those other activities. But other... More

Hi and thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review! Our 1/2 acre swimming pool has 2 waterslides and a zero entry splash area for children. The pool is staffed by certified lifeguards and is $7/day for PA residents with ID and free for children 42" and under. Swimming is prohibited in the lake for a... More

Beautiful park. So much to do - many trails. Great playgrounds for the kids. Easy trails to walk or dirt trails through the woods!

The lake here at Nockamixon has 4 entry points for kayak/fishing. The main entrance near the Rangers office, has boat rentals as well! We take our kayaks out in this lake often. It is a large lake where we always see blue herons, egrets, turtles and deer. The park also offers a swimming pool and playground for use during the... More

This is the last weekend of the year for boat rentals. It was nice to see the lake. Walk a bit on the paved path, and have a picnic. Relaxing half day.

I am a regular kayak enthusiast at Lake Nockamixon, and there are few joys that surpass seeing Great Blue Heron wading in the shoreline, fish making a big splash, ospreys diving for a meal, or beavers tail-slapping the water's surface. Go early in the morning, or later in the day for a quieter experience or more active wildlife. For night... More

My husband and I live 10 minutes from the park and we are so glad we do! It's beautiful and there is a lot to do. You can rent water equipment, have bbqs and parties, fish, and more. There is plenty of parking (although sometimes it means waking a bit farther) but it's worth it. Definitely great for family!!

Invited to a great grand son's birthday party at the swimming pool and picnic area. We did not go swimming, since it was $7.00 to get in, but I understand that covers the entire day. We did walk around the pool area looking for our party. There were different sections to the large pool for different ages and abilities of... More
