Laurel Hill State Park is a treasure. Go all year round. Beach and lake are a bonus during the summer months but the trails and waterfalls are what you want. Large grove of Hemlocks are so beautiful. Stop at the entrance and get a map so you can follow the trails. Camping is fun here - did it years ago... More

We recently had a bonus Fall day, and we were able to visit Laurel Hill State Park. We walked for a time on the Pump House Trail which was located in a forested area. We then drove close to the lake and walked on the Copper Kettle Trail. I really enjoyed this trail because it was wide and easy to... More

The State Park was close to the winery and it was perfect. We went on one short trail and then a longer one that looped into another. Both were along the water which made for a beautiful hike.

Hidden jewel close to Somerset. Went with grandkids on a semi rainy day and had never been there before. Lots of trails thru the park that seem to connect to everything. Canoes rowboats nice beach with showers etc. lots of cabins around park. Beautiful in the fall. Can't wait to come back on a sunny day

This park has a lot of different trails to hike on. My family, including two children 7 & 4, enjoy going on the different paths and looking at all the trees and different plants along the trails. The waterfall is very pretty as well. We have yet to go swimming there but have plans to do so next summer.

I grew up in Somerset. I'm actually sitting there right now. Trent, as we would refer to this place is in fact very nice. It is certainly better than Kooser State Park, just a few files away. Personally, I have always used the park/lake mainly for trout fishing, particularly by boat. As a child, I would occasionally visit the beach,... More

This was a very nice day trip for someone looking for some outdoor recreation. There were plenty of hiking trail options, nothing extremely difficult, with nice scenery. We enjoyed canoeing on the lake. The boat rental prices were reasonable. The park was kept in good condition and wasn't hard to get to.

This park is close to my home and has lots to offer. There are nice hiking trails and a bike trail. If you are in to kayaking and SUP they have that also. I always enjoy my visits over.

I have been a life guard in the past here. It is a good place for families since the water is rather shallow, although cool. Lots of sand for castles!!

My husband and I visited twice in the last month and we really enjoyed it. There is a dam you can hike to that is very pretty and a small lake beach. The beach has clean restrooms. The park is pretty, accessible, and the campground was nice, too.
