The Driver Makes the Ride

We had Sam, a mennonite, who drove us to an Amish farm and explained (albeit briefly) about their way of life. We really enjoyed asking questions and listening to the fantastic... read more

This was a fabulous buggy ride through the midst of the Amish countryside! Our driver, Barbara, was so knowledgeable. We learned so much about the Amish culture. The ride took us out through the back of Ed's farm to a road which passed many Amish farms. We turned into one farm where we saw the family buggy, the courting buggy,... More

We read reviews online and saw a lot of positive feedback for Ed's Buggy RIdes. We decided to take our young children and do a buggy ride. The owner assured us we would not be traveling on any busy roads. We left through a little back trail which was great- but lasted about 1 minute. The rest of the road... More

My family had a great time in their buggy rides. While you wait to set up the horses they have a small petting zoo with goats to keep the kids busy. The driver allowed my kids to sit up front with him and we went along the road and through a real farm and saw the Amish in action. I... More

My wife and I visited ed's buggies recently. Although it is not initially what we expected, we had a great time anyway . We thought the buggy ride would be given by an Amish person , but on weekends it is a mix of Amish and others. Actually I think we learned more about the Amish than if we would... More

We took the longer one hour tour, which is supposed to include a visit to an Amish farm and a more immersive experience. The tour guide / buggy driver was surprisingly not knowledgeable about the Amish, despite being one. Most of our questions, about their way of life, were answered by "I don't know. That's just the way we do... More

After reading the reviews for several of the buggy rides in this area we decided to use Ed's and take the special buggy ride. This tour lasted a little over one hour and we rode only on less traveled rural country roads through the farmland. Contrary to some of the reviews that I read Ed is a pleasant and friendly... More

We had the best experience at Ed's it's a private tour that doesn't cost a fortune, it's not overcrowded and you really get a wonderful education on the Amish, even though it's not run by Amish! We love the Amish people but this is still run by Pennsylvania natives who are very informative, friendly and friends with the Amish. The... More

We had Sam, a mennonite, who drove us to an Amish farm and explained (albeit briefly) about their way of life. We really enjoyed asking questions and listening to the fantastic stories he had to tell (and he had a bunch). We got to go on the back roads to a farm and it was very pleasant ride.

A short trip back in time. My family rode in an Amish buggy through the corn fields to an Amish farm. Bouncing across an unpaved road to a farm where we tried homemade lemonade & root beer - they were great! Our driver Ulum, invited my granddaughter(3) and her aunt to ride in the front seat, she loved it! Bring... More

I've taken quite a few buggy rides in Lancaster - Eds is the only one that gave me a real feel for the area, people and countryside. Unlike others who go on busy roads, Eds travels through farm fields and one very quiet street. The visit to the Amish farm was wonderful - the kids greeted us, there were cold... More
