Mini Grand Canyon

I really think I liked this park better than the famous grand canyon of PA. The drive up was more beautiful and the overlook was just as majestic.

Glad we stopped here after Leonard Harrison visit. Smaller viewing area but in my opinion more impressive views of the gorge. Will definitely be back if in the area.

We have been to the Grand Canyon and PA Grand Canyon is beautiful in a different way. Viewing the water from such a height made me think of the Grand Canyon. We visited in the fall to see the leaves, but understand there is a lot to do in the other seasons.

We went to the PA Grand Canyon on October 20, 2016 then spent the night at the Canyon Motel in Wellsboro, PA. We normally only stay at Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express but decided to try the Canyon Motel after reading recent reviews on Trip Advisor. The motel was very clean and very reasonably priced. Leonard Harrison Park is... More

This park is a must see for visitors to PA. It is incredibly beautiful and serene. We only saw a few people when we were there There are several look out points at the top of the canyon with breathtaking views. There are also two hiking trails, the Rim Trail up top and the Turkey Path that takes you to... More

My friend and I recently stayed at the Colton Point State Park for 2 nights. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. Check in was easy, since the office was closed you just grab your slip from the box at the office and then place your slip on you camp ground post. The map found on their website is a little... Colton Point State Park is the epitome of Pennsylvania's beauty - the mountains, Pine Creek running through it, picnic areas, hiking trails and post card photographs.

I've never been on the west rim of the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. We decided to stop in and we are so glad we did. There are 4 different lookouts to stop at and each one is spectacular. There is a small parking lot at each one that provides a short walk to each one. I have bad knees and... More

I loved the quiet beauty of Colton Point. So much less crowded. We aren't really athletic, and really enjoyed the Rim Trail and the Boulder trail. The boulder trail is handicapped accessible, and the rim trail (not the West Rim Trail) was a perfect way to see all of the panoramic points in one hour walk. My tip is to... More
