I was very pleasantly excited when I visited this five story, wall-to-wall, used bookstore! Lots of treasures and gems! Many old and antique books as well as new. Will definitely go again. I would caution anyone with strong allergies however as there was at least...More

What an absolutely intriguing place to spend a couple hours browsing through books, of which many are quite old. It's a very old building that was originally a dairy farm house built in the early 1800's, and it was most recently converted into a book...More

Neither can I! Scenic location near West Chester University. You can spend hours in this place and if you can come away from this place without an armload of books, you are a better person than I. Many floors of books. Friendly staff—both human and animal.

We just happened upon this charming bookstore as we were driving to the town of West Chester. What a terrific find! The old barn dates back to 1822, I think, and it houses enough used books to rival Powell’s in Portland, OR! My husband and...More

Thomas Baldwin's Book Barn might certainly be the one I choose this summer. Today I found a biography of Nat King Cole in its "stacks." Then, once, a volume of Thomas Jefferson's correspondence with Pierre Samuel Du Pont de Nemours, in French, in a niche...More
