A true barn filled with magical books!!

I collect rare children's books and their selection is great! Truly a rare and magical book store that I hope to visit again and again!

So many books in an awesome old building. A bit of history surrounding an incredible variety of books. Plus some rare ones that are first editions.

This is one of the few quality used booksellers remaining and a major Chester County landmark. I am fortunate to live nearby, visiting often. Even if you carry your library in your tablet, a trip here may convince you to re-consider starting a home library. Beginning with the special collection of local books and prints on the first level, you... More

This place is so cool. So, so many books. I could have spent many more hours here than I did because my friends wanted to go to dinner.

This is not a place to drop in for ten minutes. This is a place to browse and if you have a particular want, identify it and complete that part of the visit. I know of no place outside of libraries, with such a large number of books, carefully arranged, collated and indexed. You may view the web site -... More

5-story gorgeous old barn, looks like Hogwarts' library, with a cat, even. It's a destination trip. But the important part is the books. I was surprised by the up to date, comprehensive collection. Yes, collectibles. But yes, lots of modern stuff you want to just read.

Any one interested in books of every kind and vintage on almost ant topic should visit here. However it requires navigate through several stories and possibly some might think not as well organized as might be. That should not be a problem. Fora true book lover.

This place started in 1946 and has had quite some time to add over the years a very impressive selection of books. 5 Levels worth of used books that are very well organized and displayed nicely. Besides for books, there is quite a few print paintings scattered around for sale also. (I found two prints of old cannon battle ships... More

Wow found this place on Google. Did not expect it to be as advertised. There really are 5 floors of books in every nook and cranny. They are well organized with only rare books separated. Vintage, hard to find and some newer (1990's). Books on any subject local history, military history, forcing biographies, any type of sport literature, animals and... More

Whether you are a book lover or not, the barn is an interesting place to visit. Five floors of books, some very old and other not so old. Old sorts of chairs arranged through the barn in case you need to sit and read. A huge black cat napping on books. Fascinating!
