stay in the off season, camp sites are real close together if you don't like neighbors. Most of the camping sites are closed come Nov. but about 40 are open, some with electric, water and waste. Google the location to check out the campsites with...More

This is a huge park with a wide range of camping options from rustic camping to sites with water and electric hook-ups. There is one campground that caters specifically to folks with dogs. There’s opportunity for group camping as well. We stayed only one night...More

There are some very nice things to see here. The Boulder Field is unique. There are very nice trails. There are some nice waterfalls. It can get very busy, which is my only negative, but I guess that's because it has so much to offer.

Visited boulder field-national attraction. Very unique. Hawk mountain trail was beautiful-waterfall,exposed root systems and rock formations. So well kept and clearly marked.

The camp store here is amazing and the women who runs the store is the best. The kids have us stopping there every day when we are camping. You can get just about anything you can think of in that store.

Park itself is massive and not very easy to navigate with Waze, or any maps we found... but we did Boulder Park and Hawkes Falls which were both great. Boulder Park was way further than we expected - some people said “couple miles on a...More

Spent a Thanksgiving nearby in 2016 and it snowed at Hickory run state park. Lots of great trails to ski and we returned that summer in 2017 and walk some of the trails. Very lovely place winter and summer.

We were driving through and read how wonderful this place was supposed to be. Parked by the camp office and walked on the trail (watch for roots) to see the Falls. Not much to look at but maybe we’re just a bit jaded. We would...More
