We come up here every year. Been camping here for 18 years now. We love the quietness, trails, swimming, local food, the whole area, and how nice the staff is.

enjoyed a few minutes at the boulder field,it was very interesting to read the info on how this field of boulders were formed,,,,sure hope the public don't destroy it with litter and write on the boulders, that would be a disgrace to this nice place...

Beautiful park has a number of hiking trails and camping areas. Beautiful hemlocks abound. But.....What was truly amazing was the 16 acre boulder field. Words cannot describe. Even if you are just passing by I-80 and I-476, take a detour to see the amazing boulder field in Hickory Run State Park. You can drive right to the boulders if you... More

We spent a night here on our way home back to NH. There were several RV's here (seemed to be hunters spending part of the week trying to bag their deer) and a campground host. Even though we weren't here during the busy season, we did speak to a ranger and felt like this was a safe place to stay... More

The park is quite large. There are over 40 miles of hiking trails. In the winter many of the trails can be used for cross country sking or snow shoeing. There is also a large beach area for swimming along with a concession stand. Many picnic areas and several campgrounds. The park also boarders on the Lehigh River. The park... More

I live in White Haven and love going here. It is such a cute spot and is a perfect beach away from the beach. Very cool hiking spots.

We recently took a detour to Hickory Run pulling our 28 ft camper while traveling from Promised Land State Park to Bald Eagle State Park. We had wanted to take a short stop and see the boulder field at Hickory Run. The roads are winding and diesel truck worthy but manageable using our Silverado. We knew the park accommodated towed... What a lovely place to experience the myriad of Fall colours - yellows, oranges and reds. Even from the main road, the colours are spectacular. We only had a couple of hours to enjoy the park and spent that time at the Boulder Field and by the swimming lake. A great family destination and we'll be back to spend more... More

This park is giant and there's so many options for thinks to do, from just camping, to swimming, to all levels of hiking. There's really something for everyone that will get them outside and help them destress. I recently stopped here to visit the Boulder Field since I was in the area. It is a breathtaking natural formation (especially with... More
