The park is quite large. There are over 40 miles of hiking trails. In the winter many of the trails can be used for cross country sking or snow shoeing. There is also a large beach area for swimming along with a concession stand. Many picnic areas and several campgrounds. The park also boarders on the Lehigh River. The park... More

I live in White Haven and love going here. It is such a cute spot and is a perfect beach away from the beach. Very cool hiking spots.

We recently took a detour to Hickory Run pulling our 28 ft camper while traveling from Promised Land State Park to Bald Eagle State Park. We had wanted to take a short stop and see the boulder field at Hickory Run. The roads are winding and diesel truck worthy but manageable using our Silverado. We knew the park accommodated towed... What a lovely place to experience the myriad of Fall colours - yellows, oranges and reds. Even from the main road, the colours are spectacular. We only had a couple of hours to enjoy the park and spent that time at the Boulder Field and by the swimming lake. A great family destination and we'll be back to spend more... More

This park is giant and there's so many options for thinks to do, from just camping, to swimming, to all levels of hiking. There's really something for everyone that will get them outside and help them destress. I recently stopped here to visit the Boulder Field since I was in the area. It is a breathtaking natural formation (especially with... More

This is a great state park to visit with a variety of things to see and do. Hawks Falls were nice but not the most impressive. Easy to get to from the parking lot. The Boulder Fields were very interesting and fun to explore. Again, the parking is close by making it easily accessible for all to enjoy.

Hickory Run is a nice PA state park. Especially in the Autumn. Lots of trails, including Boulder Field and Hawk falls. I recommend having good hiking shoes and walking stick if you want to traverse the field. The Stone trail is at the top of the parking lot for Boulder Field and about 2/3 mile in there is a path... Very nice park easy to access that's not over populated. There are several things to see/do in the park - Hawks Falls is very beautiful and is fairly easy to access. The hike to Hawk Falls is about half a mile and passes through a beautiful forest full of towering trees and beautiful rhododendron. The hike is mostly downhill but... More
