We went to this beach, Breachway, and campground in early November. There was nobody at the gate, so we got in free. The waves were white capping a bit. There were people that had drove on the beach in Jeeps. There were some fisherman on...More

We have a summer house in Charlestown, so have been coming to this beach for years. Nice sand, lifeguards during the summer, and changing/restrooms nearby. Parking is high for daily parking ($20-25), and the lot often fills up by late morning, so try to arrive...More

It is always nice here but out of season one can have it to yourself. It is not always flat, mostly sandy. There are toilets nearby but closed out of season. Handicapped wheelchair available. Parking fee. In winter eiders and other seabirds congregate off the...More

Went off season just to walk, just spectacular and you can go for miles. Water was rough, so not good for weak swimmers.

Have been going to this beach for at least 25 years. Never payed for parking, always went later in the day when everyone was leaving. Very long beach, is stony in the surf.

This beach gets crazy in the summer, so go in the off season and enjoy the long stretch of sand. The surf here is not the best, with waves breaking right at the shore. East Matunuck or Narragansett Town beaches are where it's at for...More

The beach is beautiful, with nice sand and not too long a distance to the shoreline. However, the walk from the parking lot to the beach is quite long, especially if lugging chairs, coolers and umbrellas. If you do not have a town pass, parking...More
